Midnight Solstice – The Blue Note Story

Little needs to be said about Blue Note Records, the little label that wrote Jazz history like no other. We've always wanted to do a tribute to this legendary record production factory, and because Blue Note's catalog is so huge, we've decided to introduce you to the label's history in a new Midnight Soulstice series. For tonight's kick-off, DJ Pari - a passionate collector of original Blue Note vinyl - will begin by introducing you to some of the label's most prolific artists, among them Herbie Hancock, Joe Henderson, Curtis Fuller, Lee Morgan, Jimmy Smith, Grant Green and many more. You can look forward to some of Blue Note's hits, but also to some less obvious picks from this fantastic label.
